THE TIRE COLOGNE 2026: German Bionic Showcases Physical AI for the Tire Industry

The tire industry is undergoing significant transformation. From circular materials and advanced rubber compounds to digital workflows and AI powered inspection systems, innovation is reshaping how tires are designed, manufactured, and serviced. At the same time, companies are facing growing pressure to improve ergonomics, address labor shortages, and make physically demanding work more sustainable.

At THE TIRE COLOGNE 2026, German Bionic will showcase how Physical AI can support workers across the tire industry.
During peak tire changing seasons, workshop teams repeatedly lift, carry, store, and mount heavy wheel and tire sets. These repetitive tasks place considerable strain on the body. Similar challenges can be found throughout tire manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and intralogistics operations, where heavy materials and components are moved manually every day.

At the show's INNOVATION LAB, visitors will be able to experience EXIA, German Bionic's AI powered exoskeleton, and learn how wearable robotics can help reduce physical strain while supporting productivity and workplace safety.
Providing up to 38 kilograms of adaptive lifting assistance per movement, EXIA supports workers across a wide range of material handling tasks throughout the tire value chain. The system can be integrated into existing workflows without requiring modifications to workshop, warehouse, or production infrastructure.
German Bionic will also host a presentation on June 11, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. in the INNOVATION LAB, exploring the role of Human Augmentation and Physical AI in modern tire service operations and industrial environments. The session will highlight real world use cases and discuss how intelligent robotics can help make physically demanding professions safer, healthier, and more sustainable.
THE TIRE COLOGNE 2026
June 9–11, 2026
Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany
INNOVATION LAB, Hall 7, Booth A30/B39
Visitors are invited to experience live demonstrations throughout the event and meet with the German Bionic team to learn more about the practical applications of Physical AI in the tire industry.
